This mandate entails: issuing licences to operators; promoting fair competition; approving tariffs; managing the radio frequency spectrum; empowering and protecting consumers; type approving terminal equipment and other related matters. |
Land Administration Authority
The Land Administration Authority is an autonomous agency of the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftainship that was established on 15 June 2010 by the Land Administration Authority Act 2010 to oversee the land ownership and distribution policies of Lesotho. |

Metolong Authority
The Metolong Authority is a parastatal institution set up to administer the Metolong Dam and Water Supply Programme (MDWSP). The MDWSP’s main objective is the construction of the Metolong dam and associated infrastructure to supply potable water for domestic and industrial use to Maseru and neighbouring towns. |
Lesotho Highlands Development Authority (LHDA)
The Lesotho Highlands Development Authority is a state body established to implement the Lesotho Highlands Water Project. Objectives of the Project are : i) To provide revenue to Lesotho by transferring water from the catchment of the Senqu/Orange river in Lesotho to meet the growing demand for water in the RSA's major industrial and population centres; ii) To generate hydro-electric power for Lesotho in conjunction with the water transfer; iii) To promote the general development of the remote and underdeveloped mountain regions of Lesotho; and iv) To provide the opportunity to undertake ancillary developments such as the provision of water for irrigation and potable water supply. |
